Confessions - Reconciliation

It is never the will of your Father in heaven that one of these little ones should be lost.

(Matthew 18 : 14 )

In the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 1446) it is stated, “Christ instituted the sacrament of Penance for all sinful members of his Church: above all for those who, since Baptism, have fallen into grave sin, and have thus lost their baptismal grace and wounded ecclesial communion. It is to them that the sacrament of Penance offers a new possibility to convert and to recover the grace of justification.“

Confession is God’s chosen way of bringing the penitent lovingly back to himself. Confession frees us from our sins and restores the graces we have lost through our sinfulness. Through that grace, it gives us the strength and courage to face our sinful ways and grow in love and virtue.

Confession is offered every Saturday afternoon from 4:00 – 4:30 pm, every First Friday following the 8:00 am Mass and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament or through appointment by contacting Fr. Slawek at 630-773-1272 ext. 208 or pastor@stpeteritasca.com.
